We all know weather in February can be crazy and this is especially true for those of us who live in Texas. It’s not uncommon for us to have an 80-degree sunny day on Tuesday and 20-degree snow flurries on Thursday. We must have our options ready for the weather that comes up, so here are our picks for Austin in February.

 

  • Lone Star Le Mans 2/22/2020- 2/23/2020

The FIA World Endurance Championship returns to the Circuit of The Americas in late February for a action packed weekend of racing. There will be a 6-hour race on Sunday, but the weekend will be full of octane filled fun all over the track. Demos, Meet and Greets, and lots of fun activities are in store!

Another year of celebrating those tiny little ocean delicacies in the best way possible. Austin puts on the Oyster Festival every year offering almost every way to eat an oyster imaginable. Whether is raw, grilled, fried, or any other way we got you covered. With live music and treats for everyone it’s always a fun-filled time!

After these cold months I’m sure you’re like us and are itching for something a little on the warmer side of things. Well, if you picture something south of the border, we have the perfect activity. Carnaval Brasileiro is a Brazilian Carnival Celebration at Emo’s that is guaranteed to have you on your feet dancing in no time. The costumes, food, and dancing is the perfect energy to get us through the last little bit of cold this winter!

  • Austin Marathon, Half- Marathon, and 5K 2/16/2020

What better way to warm up than to get the blood flowing from running in the Austin Marathon? More than 20,000 people come out for the races, but don’t forget to stick around for the live music, finish line festival, and beer garden. Even if you don’t participate in the race, we usually have a blast cheering on the competitors!
