Fun Halloween Activities In Austin
If you’re new to Austin, or looking for new spooky experiences then this is the list for you. We’re only about a week from Halloween and the creepy Halloween events are ramping up in Austin. So without further ado let’s get started.
- Pumpkin Nights
This is a fun, family friendly event that is similar to the trail of lights in Austin come Christmas time. Now unfortunately even though this event is listed as a pumpkin event there is no actual pumpkin patch. There is however a number of boutiques, pumpkin carvings, a haunted bus, and a large trail filled with different halloween themed lights.
- Dreamland Pumpkin Patch
Located in Dripping Springs, this 64 acre amusement park offers mini-golf, good food and drinks, and other types of outdoor experiences. They’re also hosting a major pumpkin patch during the month of October. If you want an experience that is more than just a simple pumpkin patch this is the experience for you. I personally enjoyed going there with my partner for a number of cute photos.
- Texas Pumpkin Fest
This festival is a staple in the Austin area for families. It’s host to a number of classic fall activities including a maze, a pumpkin patch, and burlap slide races. It’s all in the benefit of non-profit organizations so the proceeds are going to a good cause. Their smaller gords start at two dollars and their larger pumpkins go for a dollar per pound.
- iHeart Country Festival
Not quite a Halloween event, but still happening late in October this is a must attend event for any country music lover. This year’s lineup features Blake Shelton, Little Big Town, Toby Keith, and many more. If you’re not super into the more scary or traditional aspects of Halloween this is the event for you.
